 David Humby

With an initial career in Electronic Engineering, David soon found his vocation in the commercial business environment where he was able to leverage his engineering skills in a variety of management roles including Sales, Product Marketing, Program and Project disciplines. This journey included gaining a Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing, and a Masters degree in International Marketing through Nottingham and Trent University.

Over a near forty-year career David has predominantly worked in the Tech sector, supplying into, and engaged with, the Telecoms, Medical, Mil / Defence, Space, Automotive, Test & Measurement and Communications Infrastructure markets. This has included KAM and GAM Business Development roles, working across a variety of organisation sizes from SME and Start-Ups, to major Blue-Chip Global OEMs. Strong communication skills, a proactive and flexible approach, whilst working in sometimes complex matrix organisations have been key aspects to being successful. David has valuable experience working in privately owned, listed, and private equity backed businesses.

Most recently, David was European Vice President of a global electronic materials manufacturer, looking after, and shaping, strategy for the commercial and applications operations. With a proven track record in operating in transformational environments and leading and developing teams working practices, David has demonstrable extensive experience in change management and hence driving growth both financially and organisationally.

Outside of work, David is a keen golfer who enjoys all sports along with classic car ownership. He also enjoys dining out, live comedy and endeavouring to keep fit in the gym.
